USC-C would have been great, but I'd take micro-usb over proprietary barrel charger any day. One is that the magnetic bit holders suck. This is a homeowner tool you use this to put together junk you buy online, and for that purpose it excels. This isn't the tool to use for woodworking. Its not intended to replace or compete with 20v tool lines. I dunno if I would consider this a "DIYer" tool. You don't really have to worry about overtorqing, which is why this thing is convenient. Its pretty lightweight, and has about as much torque as hand tightening to medium tightness.
